Christmas in Bloomington was really in Glen Ellyn this year at Stan's
house. This was the first Christmas without Kimberly's Dad Frank and my
Dad Earl, but the move to Glen Ellyn was more in keeping with having Colton
around. Stan has a mini-tramp in the great room so Colton has something
to bounce on when he is bouncing off the walls, which is customary at
Christmas.
A little horseplay on the couch.
Oh, what should I open first?
The Nerf multi-shot bow-and-arrow was already open and being fired around
the house before we even got there.
It's not Christmas unless someone gets socks.
Kimberly got a new Kindle, so she can get dragged into the 21st century.
Edna's new "No No". If you don't already know what it is, you
don't want to.
The highlight of the evening: a Star Wars plasma sword.
I guess Colton will be on the side of the Sith with these red eyes.
The plasma sword hardly left Colton's hand the rest of the night.
New workout gear for Wade.
Mom's new "Aunty Acid" calendar. I wanted to save the one from
the 27th, but she had already thrown it away. It said, "I think people
that are organized are just too lazy to look for stuff."
A drum machine device that Stan wanted.
The complete "Calvin and Hobbes" collection is no match...
...for picking up the plasma sword again.
Colton had requested a necktie, so he is trying it on for dinner.
Stan picked a nice farm-to-table restaurant in downtown Glen Ellyn. Kimberly
had a duck breast that was awesome, and Wade had a chicken cassoulet that
was delicious. Stan and Edna had chicken pot pie, and Colton the obligatory
cheeseburger.
Back to the house for a little dessert.
