Day 2: Sightseeing in Toronto, including the CN Tower.
Time for a bus ride around Toronto. Our first stop is Nathan Phillips Square.
It has fountains, a peace garden, ice skating in winter, and a row of food carts.
Our main tour guide, the incomparable Matthieu...
...and our local guide for the day.
Next to the square is the Toronto City Hall and the mayor's office.
We take another stop at ROM: the Royal Ontario Museum...
...which has this interesting crystal entrance.
Playing around with the various animal exhibits.
After the morning bus tour, we head over to Chinatown for some dumplings, and yes, they were Yummy Yummy.
Walking back from Chinatown, Kimberly finds her spirit animals.
Dinner that night was at the Amsterdam Brewhouse.,,
...which is on this lovely marina.
That evening, we head over for a tour of the CN Tower, which is 1815 feet high.
As with any group, there are the fast walkers who make the light, and then
those
people.
Here is the entrance to the express elevator to the observation deck.
The observation deck is over 1100 feet high, or about the height of the Stratosphere in Las Vegas.
It's hard to get night shots from the observation deck without some reflections.
Out toward Lake Ontario.
You can see here how much higher the observation deck is than even the "normal" skyscrapers.
