We took a day excursion to the Canadian side of Niagara Falls.
From the observation area, we can see the American Falls...
...and the Horseshoe Falls.
We take a funicular down to the lower water level.

The "raingear" they give us is wholly insufficient to the task.
We go out on a Hornblower boat tour...
...and make our way to Horseshoe Falls.

It's hard to make out, but there are people on the switchbacks on the right cliff that take you behind the falls.

Getting closer; we have to retreat behind the glass partitions to keep from getting soaked.

The funicular develops a mechanical problem, so we have to resort to the elevator to get back up.
The bus takes us to the quaint village of Niagara on the Lake, and we stop for lunch.
