Sunday morning we had unscheduled, so the six of us went to the Lama
Temple.
Buddhist prayers include burning incense at various sites.
Kimberly and Wade with another lion.
We offered up our own prayers with incense.
Of course Wade doesn't know anything about Buddhism and offers up a whole
pack when he is supposed to offer up three pieces.
A Buddhist prayer wheel.
One of the many incarnations of the Buddha.
Darrolyn ringing the great bell.
In between, we have a shopping stop at the pearl factory. There is not
much to take pictures of there, but here is a great shot of a fresh water
oyster.
In the afternoon, we go to the Temple of Heaven. It starts with a park
area.
With some local performers in the park.
On to the main temple area.
Here we are in front of the main pagoda. Remember, if it is 1-3 stories
it is a "pagoda", and if it is 4-13 stories it is a "tower".
Darrolyn finds a vendor selling the parasols she wanted, and we needed
sun protection anyway. Here are our "four little maids" in China.
This stone is officially the center of the universe. Here's the four
women clamoring to be the center of the universe.
