See also the Videos Gallery for numbers that Kimberly and Wade are in.
This year's choir show is "Songs of the Silver Screen". Diane worked her normal magic finding just
the right songs for everyone to sing, and Chelsea did a bang-up job getting film clips to introduce
each number.
The opening number, "Tonight" from West Side Story.
Rick, Wade, Jimmy, and Dave starting out with "Lida Rose" from The Music Man...
...with Rita joining in with the counterpoint of "Will I Tell You?"
Hans' big solo of "Ain't Misbehavin'" with Kimberly and Karyn as the featured dancers.
Wade's big solo number of "Singin' in the Rain".
The guys do "Tumblin' Tumbleweeds" from In Old Monterey.
Followed up with a "surprise" with the gals looking pious but singing "My God" from Sister Act.
Here's Kimberly's solo line...
...and Karyn's line with most of the gals.
Wade, Rick, Karyn, and Kimberly with the Leonard Cohen "Hallelujah" from Shrek.
Time for a group number, "What a Wonderful World" from Good Morning, Vietnam.
Rita starts out with "I'm Wishing", then the dwarves march through with "Heigh Ho",
which we mash up with Rita and Wade doing "All I Ask of You" from Phantom of the Opera.
The big finale.
We finally got Diane and Heather to buy off on Kimberly doing "I'm Tired" from Blazing Saddles.
Here she is in her special costume.
Some campy flirting on the piano. Doesn't she look "tired"?
We couldn't really pull off the Prussians entering at the end, so we improvised Wade coming in
as the Heldentenor for the finale.
Another group number, "Hakuna Matata" from The Lion King.
"Brotherhood of Man", ostensibly from How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying..
...but with some rewritten lyrics to make it work with the monk costumes.
The final group number, "Over the Rainbow" from The Wizard of Oz.
