First came a deep, earthy mushroom and truffle soup, paired with a Chardonnay.
Second came an arugula and walnut salad, accompanied by an elderberry-infused
tart with a fig filling and topped with duck breast, paired with pinot
noir.
The entree was filet mignon topped with whiskey peppercorn sauce, your
choice of scalloped or mashed potatoes, and fresh vegetables, paired with
a meritage.
The dessert was a sampler platter of dark chocolate cake with ganache,
poached pears, fresh berries, and whipped cream.
Truly a magical evening, and paleo-compatible as well! Excellent job!
