Day 1 was a travel day to Merida, so not a lot to report.
We stayed at the Hotel Fiestamericana, and right across the street was
a Walmart, so we went over to get some big water bottles for the room,
and some juice to take our vitamins with in the morning. Here's Kimberly
with the Navidad Arbol. The hardest thing was getting used to the price
markings: over on the left, you see a rack and think "148 dollars
for a shirt!?" Oh, wait, it's 148 pesos, about eleven dollars. Never
mind.
We are up on the fourth floor. Here is a shot back to the first floor
reception, which is one level up from the ground floor.
They built this wonderful first floor patio for Kimberly to use as the
pariah lounge.
This is really from breakfast on day 2, but we had a lovely fruit assortment...
...and Wade had huevos Yucatanos. There are eggs hidden in the bean sauce
there somewhere.
Here is what you get if you ask for biscuits with you breakfast. Note
that the correct pronunciation is "beee-skits".
