Day 3: Sightseeing tour of Marrakech, Bahia Palace, and Majorelle Garden.

Starting off on our sightseeing tour of Marrakech.
Their gardens are customarily broken into four quadrants, with each one representing one season.
Walking through the Bahia palace ...
...with these elaborate ceilings, that are also channeled to help air flow.
They have an art display with several paintings like this for sale.
An exhibit of old doors.
The main square of the palace.
The defensive walls are very thick, but made of clay requiring periodic maintenance.
Out in the market, we stop at an apothecary and get a presentation on argan oil and local spices.
We move on to a visit to the Marjorelle Gardens.
It is a lovely stroll through various garden areas.
This section featured giant bamboo.
We split off the group for lunch featuring more tagines.
Wade really enjoyed the chicken tagine with preserved lemon and olives. Kimberly was wowed by the lamb tagine.
There are community cats all over the country, that people take care of in the neighborhoods.
