The annual trip back east was a little chaotic this year. We went to
Paragould for one day, then Wade's Dad came down with a cold, so we went
over to Bloomington before we could catch it and not be able to go. We
did Christmas Eve with Kimberly's family, then drove back to Paragould
for another couple of days to do Christmas there.
Here's Dawn getting ready to hand out presents.
Dawn playing Santa Claus.
Earl was especially proud of this wrapping job. If the Paragould newspaper
actually had any pages in it, he might have been able to use color comics
all the way around.
Dawn unwrapping one of her new Michael Jackson CD's. It was a big surprise,
since we took her shopping and she picked them out.
Could Wade look any dorkier than in this picture?
Well, let's see, what have I got here?
Kimberly opens hers ever so gingerly.
Look! Socks!
We got both the father's a fabulous lined leather bomber cap for keeping
their ears warm in the winter. Here is Earl trying on his. You can see
Frank's in the Bloomington set of pictures.
Kimberly with a handmade pillow from my mother.
Dawn with some woolly slippers to keep her feet warm. It's not for me
to say, but I swear these were made from the same material they use for
fuzzy toilet seats covers.
Joyce with the requisite smell-good lotions and potions.
A clock made by my father and painted by my mother.
Wade with a new sweater-shirt.
And of course, the latest "Bathroom Reader".
Not everybody really needs a snuggly, but Mom does. She's always cold.
Earl with the new toaster that we got them. ("We don't need a new
toaster. Ours works just fine. Sure it only toasts on one side, but then
you just turn the bread around.")
A Kimberly-sized cup of coffee. None of this decaf junk for her.
