Day 1 -- Phoenix St. Francis Pig Dip, Musical Instruments Museum, Tucson El Nene
We drove to Phoenix and stopped for lunch at the St. Francis Cafe.
Guy Fieri recommended the "Pig Dip" for lunch, and it didn't disappoint.
Here's the Pig Dip on the menu.
The main stop in Phoenix was the Musical Instruments Museum.
Here's Wade showing off his air guitar skills.
One room contained automated playing devices. At the top end is this Apollonia full band simulator.

This room was for trying out the various instruments to see what they felt like to play.
Some rooms were arranged by artist, like this one.
Some rooms were arranged by geographical area, and showed the instruments for that area.
It's a well-organized museum. Everybody gets a transponder with a headset, and as you approach each video display, your headphones switch to that display. It's all about listening, anyway.
We drove on to Tucson, and the hot Mexican restaurant turns out to be a food truck call El Nene.
It was 109 degrees, but they kept it tolerable with these large fans in the shelter area you ate in.
