Day 4 -- Drive to Sante Fe, Meow Wolf.
We drove to Sante Fe, and spent the afternoon at a place called Meow Wolf.
It is an art installation, as well as a non-linear story that you are supposed to puzzle out. This is the lobby area.
The house is part of the main story, and you are trying to figure out what happened to the family.
The family evidently made contact with other worlds, as there are portals that take you to bizarre universes.
Part of the fun is finding your way through, like going through this fireplace into another room...
...or through the refrigerator passage.
There are, of course, strange beings in these other worlds.
And also strange beauty. Over a hundred artists participated, and you can tell that each one put their own personal touches on the areas they were given.
The computer and safe in this room had videos and documents that were crucial to figuring things out.
Kimberly taking a short cut through the dryer.
Some rooms had interactive controls, like the ones for color and saturation in this room.
Kimberly has stumbled into black-and-white land.
Kimberly in one of the children's rooms.
Wade driving a vertically-mounted school bus.
Kimberly playing the laser harp. Much of the storyline centered around sounds as well as visual arts.
Our favorite cereal, called "Never Enough".
Wade pulling the sword from the stone. He failed.
We went downtown looking for a particular restaurant, drove around the block three times looking for a parking space, and finally got to the restaurant only to find this. Time for plan B.
