Day 7 -- Denver Central Market, Botanic Gardens, Natural History Museum.
We started out the morning checking out the food offerings at the Denver Central Market.
It looks good, so we decide to come back and get some food later.
Meanwhile, we head over the Denver Botanic Gardens.
Reminiscent of the Biosphere, we start in an indoor aviary.
Most of the gardens are outside, of course.
The famous exploding purple do-dad.
They had a large Japanese garden with a koi pond.
This is more of a desert chaparral area.
A bamboo garden with a shady tunnel.
There were several water features and reflecting ponds.
Wade thought this was an interesting plant, but it turns out to be made of glass.
Back to the Denver Central Market for lunch. We get a cheese and charcuterie plate from one vendor, and a salad from another.
Around the Denver Central Market is an artist colony, including some street murals.
The afternoon was spent at the Nature and Science Museum. Here is our old buddy Rex.
Wade posing with the native wildlife...
...and Kimberly with her leonine friend.
On the rooftop balcony, they have excellent views back to the city. They also had a telescope set up for solar observation, so we could see a solar flare.
