Day 14 -- Las Vegas Mob Museum, Ka (Cirque du Soleil).
What do you do on Sunday morning in Las Vegas? You head to the Mob Museum (because there's no crowd).
Besides the museum, they had a couple of interactive experiences. The first was a "crime lab" where you got to try to match ballistics on some bullets...
and see what you could discover from doing a virtual autopsy on this "body". There was also some basic fingerprinting information.
The other interactive activity was firearm training, but not what you expect. It is about justified force and when you can/should draw your firearm.
Here's Kimberly watching the introductory video. You then go through two video simulations, and a real- person simulation. In each simulation, one of us was the contact person, and the other one was the backup.
The second and third floors are full of historical displays, much of it centered around the mob's inroads into Las Vegas.
The real bricks from the wall behind the St. Valentine's Day massacre.

In the evening, we went to Ka, a Cirque du Soleil show at the MGM grand.
Sadly, we can't give you any pictures from the show...
...but the staging is magnificent.
This is some burst of fire coming up from the pit while you are waiting for the show.
We were concerned that it might not live up to our memory of it. Back 15 years ago when we saw it, we were completely blown away by the level of production, the stunts, the talent, the staging itself. We were blown away again; it is just a fabulous show, and if you only see one Cirque du Soleil in your life, don't waste it on a dance show like "Love", go to Ka!
